A coating does not fix your paint

It locks in whatever is already under it. Put one over swirled paint and you have not protected the finish — you have preserved the damage, under something built to last years. So the polishing has to happen first, it is where nearly all of the time goes, and it is included in every price on this page.

Warranty is registered and documented on all three. Two years on Signature, three on Reserve, five on Legacy, and if a coating fails inside its term we re-coat that area free.

If it fails, we re-coat it. Free.

Every coating carries a term. Two years on Signature, three on Reserve, five on Legacy. If the coating fails inside that term, we re-coat the failed area at no cost to you, and that includes the decontamination and the polish work if that area needs it.

Your warranty is registered in your name. It transfers once, free, if you sell the car. Just tell us who is taking it on.

Maintenance is not a condition. Your first year is included. The annual service after that is yours to choose, and skipping it voids nothing. It is one price for your vehicle class whichever coating you chose. We sell it on what it does for your paint, never as the price of keeping your warranty.

One thing does void it: automatic and brush car washes. Touchless washes and hand washes are both fine, and we will show you how we wash ours.

Every price on this page is two numbers added together

The first number is the polishing. The second number is the ceramic, and it is the same on all three — $750 on a small car. That is the whole pricing model. Prices below are for a small car; the bench above does the sum for your vehicle.

We are showing you this because most shops will not. When a coating quote is one number with nothing behind it, you have no way to tell whether any polishing is in it — and polishing is the part that costs the days.

The inspection bench

Nobody can sell you paint correction over the phone, because you cannot see what is wrong with your paint until someone puts a light on it. So here is the light. Drag it across the panel, then change the correction level and watch what is left behind. The number underneath is your real price for your vehicle, not a starting price.

Where the three days actually go

Almost none of it is the coating. Nearly all of it is the polishing that happens first — which is why a shop offering you a ceramic coating this afternoon is not selling you the same thing.
01

We read the paint

A depth gauge and a defect map before a single pad touches it. If your paint is too thin to correct safely, you find out here, not after.

02

We clean it properly

Two-bucket wash, iron decontamination, clay. Polishing a dirty panel grinds the dirt into it, so nothing is polished until this is done.

03

We correct it

Machine polishing in stages under inspection lighting. This is where almost all of the hours go, and it is the part you are actually paying for.

04

We coat it

Gtechniq, panel by panel, in controlled conditions. Then it cures overnight. Rushing this step is how coatings streak and fail early.

05

We show you

Under the lights, with you there, before you pay the balance. You see the same panels we photographed on day one.

The questions we actually get

Why is yours more than the quote I got?

Because ours includes the correction. A coating price without correction is a different product wearing the same name — and the cheaper one seals your swirls in for years. Ask the other shop how many hours of polishing are in their number.

Will it stop rock chips or scratches?

No. A ceramic coating is roughly two microns thick, about a fortieth of a human hair. It resists chemicals, makes washing far easier and holds gloss for years. It will not stop a stone off the interstate. If impact protection is what you want, you want paint protection film, and we will tell you that rather than sell you the wrong thing.

What about the 9H hardness everyone advertises?

That is a pencil-hardness figure from a lab panel, not from car paint. We do not quote it. The gloss you are paying for comes from the correction underneath the coating, not from the coating itself.

How long does it really last?

Signature is a 3 to 5 year ceramic. We do not publish a number for Reserve or Legacy rather than guess at one. Anyone quoting you ten years is quoting a laboratory, not a South Dakota winter. How long a coating lasts is mostly about how it is washed and maintained, which is why your first year of maintenance is included and why we show you the wash routine before you leave. Your warranty term is fixed either way.

Do water spots get worse on a coated car?

They can, and almost nobody says so. Beading concentrates minerals into droplets, and on hard water those can etch. That is exactly what the included maintenance year is for, and we will show you the two-minute drying habit that prevents it.

How long do you have my car?

Two to three days. The correction takes the time and the ceramic has to cure in controlled conditions. A shop offering you a same-day ceramic coating is not doing the correction.

Which coating do you actually use?

Gtechniq, on every tier. The decontamination wash before it is not optional and it is not an add-on — a coating cannot bond to a surface that still has iron and tar in it, so it is included in all three. What changes between tiers is the correction underneath and the ceramic on top, not whether the paint gets properly cleaned first.

Do you come to me?

No. Every vehicle is done here, by appointment. Correction needs controlled lighting to find defects and a controlled environment for the coating to cure in. A driveway has neither.

We do not discount. We add the correction, the warranty and the first year of maintenance instead.
